* MIDSUMMER UPDATE ~ JUNE 2008 *

“Hi…You all do so much, thank you for everything, just writing to let you know that you make such an impact to those of us that are out in the combat zones. Right now I am current back stateside, but I will be going to a new unit that deploys more often, but does not stay out there as long. When I have to ship again, I will once again be putting out a request most likely for supplies if I can not acquire anything myself while I am in whatever country I will be going to. James”

“To all: Greetings and Blessings from BAF. Your care package arrived today, and at a most helpful time for me. As far as I am aware right now at this time I am the only Pagan here, probably far from true, but so hard to narrow us down, we are forever in the perpetual broom closet so to speak. It is a great thing to hear from others who believe and fellowship the way I do. Your continued support and thoughts mean the world to those of us here. I had one other soldier here who was Eclectic Pagan, but she started suffering from seizures 2 weeks ago and had to be flown home ASAP to receive help. I am sorry to have to cut this short, but we are preparing to move again. May The Dagda smile on you and yours, and The Goddess light your path. Love, Peace, and Light Shawn”

“Thank you so much for the package I received the other day. I was just thrilled. I look forward to reading the books and using the supplies. Thank you again, and many bright blessings to you and yours. =) J O”

* NEW PICTURES and NOTES ~ FEBRUARY 2008 *

"I'm writing with an update and a mailing address for our Circle. We number between 20 and 30 here and are working on growing even more. We come from varied paths, from Wiccan to Asatru (me), many are good solid eclectic followers. We come together and meet to share our religious diversity and our common bond as Pagans serving our country. Personally I become more patriotic and proud every time I hear of groups like yours w ho are selfless and generous, caring for the soldier you've never met. Hospitality is one of the cornerstone virtues of my faith and you and your group expound that virtue. Thank you. Fred"

"I just wanted to drop a quick message to let you know that I recieved the care package that was sent. Thank you very much. I will write more when I get the chance. This last week has been very busy. This is the first time I have had a break other than to eat, sleep, or hit the gym. There are all ready several people lining up to read the books that you sent. I never expected such an expansive or personal box. BB, Jeremy"

"Yes I did get the BOS and the box that you sent. It is awesome, thank you all. You all have a special place in my heart for all of the positive energy I’ve received. I hope I have the opportunity to be as kind and giving in my life as you all have. Blessings, Richard"

"I really really want to thank you and everyone that that works their butts off to support us. Everyone that receive these supplies are very grateful and please tell everyone a BIG THANK YOU and may the Goddess and God always shine their eternal light on y'all. Merry Part and Namaste' Solaris"

"I received your wonderful box today! Thank you so much for all of the amazing things that were inside, I know that I will grow in knowledge from the books and in practice by using the items. I am curious as to what some of the stones are, but I will try to look them up. I am very grateful for your support and for the work that you all are doing to support those of us over here in uniform.

I am usually a solitary, but while I am over here I am in a mixed group of about 10-12 people. We have druids, a shaman, a christian witch, and the rest of us are fairly eclectic or still deciding on a specific path. I am more of a traditionalist gardenarian, but I am also a bit eclectic. If there are is something I already have or more than I can use I will be happy to share with the group. I already passed on one of the items that you sent, and I will turn over the pine cones to the group for one of our next rituals. Blessings, White Knight"
