CIRCLE OF SUPPORT ~ YOUR LETTERS and POEMS
"Hello Soldiers of the United States of America,
My name is Rain, at least in the Pagan community,
I would like to say thank you for all you give for me to live
in this great country. While many talk about the bad things of
this country and I agree there are needed changes you can't
dispute the fact that this has got to be one of the greatest
countries on the planet and you guys/gals help us maintain that.
I know you not only sacrifice your time with your
loved ones, your life, but I know you also sacrifice an understanding
or at least many of you do, regarding your way of life and experience
of Divinity. I say thank you greatly for your sacrifices I pray
almost everynight :) I am human too you know, but when I do
I ask for you to be brought back to us safely and for those I read
about being stuck on a base I have prayed for you to get to where you need to be.
So much I wish to express to you. I have this Poem.
What's wrong with the world today?
Are everyone's eye closed?
It would certainly seem true with our honor respect and morals hosed,
Watered down,
In our petty differences we all drown,
Don't just open your eyes open your heart,
Come on people lets do it right this time lets be smart,
Realize that your way is yours and my way is mine,
Be aware it does not matter your spiritual path as long as you are connected to the Divine,
It doesn't matter if you are Muslim, Christian, Jewish or even a Witch,
We have all had times of love and times of falling in a ditch,
It doesn't matter as long as love is our driving force,
If we follow lead with that we know we are on the right course,
If you know this and have no doubt,
Drop the thumping of scripture stop the scream and shout,
Lets join hands and dance in the celebration of the circle of life,
Realize there are many kinds of love not just husband and wife,
Lets just join hands and get along,
Let our bonds of love for one another become strong,
We all have pain and loss,
Feeling treated like something you toss,
Through strength and resilience,
You can release forth your brilliance,
Your compassion joy and love,
Lend me your hand Brothers Sisters and let us Rise above.
Blessed be to you all, Love to you brothers and sisters. Rain"
May the Maiden protect your youth, vitality, strength, and passion.
May you not be damaged by what you see or experience while in combat.
May the Mother watch over your body and mind.
May Her warm arms embrace you in battle.
May She bring comfort to you at night when you remember the acts of the day.
May the Crone give you the power to do what is commanded of you.
May She aid those lost in battle and ease their passage into the beyond.
May She turn her eyes from you and leave you to return home to your family.
May the Green Man give you strength to perform the tasks set before you.
May He walk with you on the battlefield, join you in comaraderie with your fellow soldiers.
May He summon all the energy of the Earth to stand strong beneath each step of your boots.
May the Faeries provide light-hearted moments to your tour of duty.
May They bring you fond memories of loved ones and friends, and ease your dreams as you sleep.
